Autumn Winter 2018
Embracing the nature-loving lifestyle, the AW18 “Nature Boy” collection rejects the notion of appreciation for the outdoors being reserved for a specific era or geographical region, but rather a theme that should be welcomed the world over.
With the namesake taken from the iconic single by American songwriter Eden Ahbez, the collection taps into the exotica elements of the original hippy movement in which Ahbez was a leading figure.
Layering abilities sitting at the forefront of the collection’s priorities, many pieces take on oversized or exaggerated silhouettes. The print offerings are played down this season, with monochrome and solids being preferred, only allowing room for a classic plaid fabric used in the womenswear garments and an askew animal pattern making an appearance across both lines. Inspired by classic 1940s outerwear, we see flannel lining used as an extra element of comfort across some of the season’s staple pieces.
Autumn tones of warm wine reds, golden honey yellows, burnt rust hues and calming creams are seen paired with a crisp contrasting Ocean blue for a strong AW18 palette.
Key styles for AW18 include linen-wool blend outerwear pieces, Canadian- inspired hand knit numbers and a reversible sheepskin waistcoat.
