YMC and Cubitts reunite for 2026, revisiting the Akira and Kitano frames in a new lighter palette.
Developed by YMC creative director Sage Toda-Nation and Cubitts, the frames draw inspiration from the personal styles of Japanese filmmakers Akira Kurosawa and Takeshi Kitano, both renowned for wearing sunglasses while directing.
